freezer was not turning compressor on when temp called for cooling, if 'thumped' on the side by the controller would come on. read some reviews and questions and found one with the same indications. they replaced the control so purchased a control and installed it. - worked.
a little trouble getting the cover off, extracting malfunctioning control and replacing. some of the 'tabs' broke', but got 'er done.
